The moment you have all been waiting for has arrived, the dehydrator is in my kitchen… Never mind that I was too busy drinking green beer last night to set it up or put anything in it. I did manage to buy the following items to try it out:
- Kiwis (I understand these are an amazing tangy treat dried)
- Tomatoes (cheap sundried tomatoes? YES PLEASE!)
- And a bunch of herb seeds to plant…
That’ll do for now. Got to see if the thing even works first, then try the various produce in it. I cannot wait, and unfortunately for you, it means for the next week or so, all you will get to read about is my food dehydrating woes or successes. Ho hum. I have earmarked Friday and Sunday for cooking and dehydrating. Let the food preservation commence…!
And by the way, doesn’t it look like a filing cabinet? And it’s the size of a large microwave… eek! I do think the artfully placed tulips detract from its horrifying ugliness though, no?
